Jeremy Parker is the founder, head alchemist, colour-maker, and brains behind the Alchemical Arts.

His passion for the relationship between colour and alchemy began as a deep interest which lead to years of intense research. He quickly began to notice that he wasn’t the only one who found the fusion of alchemy and colour a fascinating mix. Yet there was very limited information to be found on the subject. In fact, aside from the odd philosophical musing, there is little more than a huge void.

This was the reason why he started to put together a range of videos that follow his journey from colour-enthusiast to professional colour-creator.

By using traditional and arcane methods of preparation, we are able to produce very special and interesting pigments. These pigments are then used to produce our own extra fine and highly pigmented watercolour paints — with an emphasis on historic and unique colours.

Each colour is hand produced in small batches from scratch, using the finest raw materials to produce a truly unique colour experience. We strive to provide artists with an intimate and traditional handmade experience to further deepen their relationship to their materials.

In a nutshell, The Alchemical Arts exists to encourage artists to develop a more intimate relationship with the paints and pigments they use to create everything from a mere stroke, to an entire masterpiece.
