I hold a major in drawing and ceramics but have extended that to include painting, mosaic, papermaking, bookbinding and 3D garden art. Over the years I have had solo and joint exhibits of work from most of my disciplines. I have enjoyed teaching art and have worked as an ‘artist in residence’ in prisons, schools and the general community. For me, knowledge and skills are meant to be shared and passed onto others who have an interest.
My work is diverse. I come from a generation and family that 'made things'. I think this is why I like to work in so many mediums. Sometimes a piece is about the idea, other times it's about the material - it is usually always about the natural world.
