Actor, arts administrator, radio presenter, fundraiser – Dave Knowles is an all-rounder who has devoted the past 25 years to developing his skills and his knowledge of the Ballarat arts community. For 10 years he was the main presenter of the “Accessing Arts” weekly radio program on VOICE FM. Completing the Small Companies & Community Theatres Diploma at SMB, Dave began his career as an actor with the all-abilities theatre company BRRRR Theatre Group. A key member of Ballarat’s late-lamented Grainery Lane as a community theatre participant, Dave went on to be the President and gun fundraiser for the group. At present, he is working with Karden / Arthur Creative, developing an arts mentor initiative that addresses all arts mediums.
