I have been embroidering for most of my life and my love of it has seen me try my hand at a large array of techniques ā but my favourites have always been Goldwork and Stumpwork embroidery for which I am renowned worldwide.
I consider myself fortunate to be a freelance artist in an industry which I love, professionally designing and teaching embroidery for over twenty years. My career has given me the opportunity to study, teach and exhibit around the world, meeting wonderful like-minded people.
Over this time, I have won a number of awards for my work, both in Australia and internationally. I have worked as artist in residence, feature artist, guest lecturer, judge and consultant and has contributed in many publications and taken on a range of commissions.
I am inspired by nature, my love of period embroidery and historical art. I am passionate about passing on my knowledge and am currently working on my sixth book and pieces for an exhibition.
