Referencing the expedition of the Fench explorer Nicolas Baudin (1754-1803), Mason's reliquaries are a contemporary interpretation of early contact with the politics of exploration, discovery and colonial prospecting using stone, pewter, gold leaf surfaced cast resin and French historical objects.
