Since my young age, painting and writing were my passions. I always signed my work with my maiden name; Tolosa. I gave a lot of my paintings away to family so they are in France, America and Australia. I exhibited with other artists in Ballarat, Maryborough, Saint Arnaud, Avoca and I had two solo exhibitions; “The River” at Kelaston Ballarat in 1993 and a water colour solo exhibition in Avoca in 2005. Because I haven’t the room to paint I am now concentrating on my writing. I wrote children stories in French & English, a novel, short essays, a book of French poems & a book of poems in English, and I am now working on my autobiography. Until now I never had the opportunity to meet with editors and publishers, but lately through “The Art of Aging” program I find a lot of contacts. All my writing work stayed for years in drawers but I hope to have them published.
I was born in France in 1939 and moved to Australia in 1972. In France I was a scientist doing ten years research on textiles. In Australia I have done a lot of different jobs but my major was clerk and data computer processor. I attended Oakleigh College for a course on journalism, Castlemaine college to obtain my Office Skills Certificate and I obtained my Advanced Certificate in Art & Design at Ballarat SMB in 1993.
In 2006, I was awarded the Pyrenees Shire Citizen of the year for my contribution of volunteering work since 1980.
