Description of Venue: The Coghills Creek Hall is the focus of the Coghills Creek community, as the last remaining public building in the area. It’s history spans over 120 years from its beginnings in 1901 as the Sunday School of the Wesley Church. The Coghills Creek Progress Association took on the formal ownership of the hall when the Uniting Church gifted the hall to CCPA, as custodian for the benefit of Coghills Creek community, in 2001.
The hall consists of 2 sections: the front section - 120-year-old, church hall, including original stage; and the newer meeting/supper room at the back, which includes a fully functional kitchen; male/female and disabled toilets.
Types of events which are run/held: Life celebrations - weddings, funerals, naming ceremonies; meetings, training sessions, community consultations and craft workshops.
