Description of Venue: Set in idyllic parkland of approximately 1 hectare, and surrounded by gums and chestnut trees, the Bullarto hall was built in 1906 and had major restoration works in the 1990s. The Hall is adjacent to the railway reserve and about 100 metres from the former Bullarto Railway Station, which is now operated by the Central Highlands Tourist Railway.

During the hall's lifetime it has been the venue for many and varied local activities such as dances, concerts, farewells (particularly during war time), church services, youth clubs and meetings, and at one time housed a large library and was used as a Mechanics Institute.

Today it is a suitable venue for private functions such as weddings, birthday parties, meetings, concerts, reunions and funerals. Annual events at the hall include the Vintage Tractor Pull and Vehicle display held during the Labor day long weekend in March.

An interesting feature of the hall is its close proximity to the Central Highlands Tourist Railway, making it possible to travel from Daylesford by vintage train and use the hall and its grounds as a function centre and venue for parties, weddings, family gatherings or similar events. There are also catering and accommodation options available in nearby Daylesford.

The hall also has a stage with curtain and side entrance which leads onto the kitchen, that could be used as a dressing room area. There is also a ticket office, making the hall ideal for concerts and performances.

The hall's kitchen includes a domestic oven/stove, microwave, fridge, 2 urns and limited crockery and cutlery.

Split system heating and cooling plus 2 heaters keep the hall warm in Winter and cool in Summer.

There is ample off road parking available.

There is a refundable bond payable prior to hiring of the hall to be returned as long as the hall and grounds are left in a good clean condition.
