SIMON MARKS
With a fire in his belly and a lifetime of stories to draw from Simon began to play, write and perform in 2008. An invite that same year to perform as part of the West Coast Blues and Roots festival in Fremantle marked the beginning of what has led to countless performances from bar’s to festivals and all in between through Australia, Europe and Canada. With an energetic and passionate stage presence Simon delivers his stories and songs with the conviction of someone who has been around enough to take the audience with him. From upbeat tales of falling madly in love with a lesbian to the impassioned farewell to his grandmother, the joys of busking and even exactly how long it can take to writing and record a song in a single day in a kitchen in Melbourne, Simon Marks is if nothing else, consistently diverse! After producing two demo albums Simon recorded his first EP titled “B” in Melbourne mid 2010 with Ben Franz (The Waifs) and Jason Bunn (Orchestra Victoria) which lead to his latest full length release “Fight the Good Fight” recorded back in Fremantle with good mate Dave Jonhson producing. Recording aside……….. “live is where it’s at” for this singer/songwriter! (Note: Editable version)
