Ron Egeberg is the Director of Brentron & Partners – his culture consultancy.
He has a track record of successfully managing, developing and implementing strategic plans within the arts, cultural tourism, retail, hospitality, events, government and media sectors.
Career highlights include spending nine years as a senior manager at the television station BTV 6, owning and operating Porter’s Restaurant and Bar from 1991 to 1995, Director of the Ballarat Begonia Festival from 1997 to 2002, Director of the Eureka Centre from 2002 to 2008, and Manager Arts and Culture at the City of Ballarat from 2008 to 2012.
Ron has won many prestigious awards recognising his achievements in the arts, tourism, media and hospitality sectors, including the 1987 TV Week Logie Award for children’s TV program Kids Only, and the National Centenary Medal for contribution to the Arts and Tourism in 2003.
In 2012, after 17 years with Ballarat City Council, Ron left to establish his own culture consultancy. He is a Civil Marriage Celebrant, a Funeral Celebrant and a Justice of the Peace for Victoria. And Chairman of 99.9 Voice FM Ballarat.
