Mission
Regional Arts Victoria initiates, facilitates and celebrates the arts in regional Victoria through Creative Communities Victoria, Education and Families, Performing Arts Touring and Creative Arts Facilitators.
Description
The Regional Cultural Partnership Program (RCPP) was established by Regional Arts Victoria in 2005 to provide a level of support to arts development in regional Victoria. The program is networked across regional boundaries and catchments while being integrated with local needs and aspirations through the program partners.
Creative Arts Facilitators, employed in partnership with local government and agencies, assist regional communities to develop and implement programs of activity, or projects that will have long-term strategic impact in their community. They help to increase access to arts and cultural infrastructure including funding and information resources, develop networks across regions and strengthen community impact from arts and cultural activity through supporting partnership development.
General information
Regional Arts Victoria is the peak Victorian agency resourcing and supporting contemporary and innovative regional cultural practice. In the 40 years since its establishment, Regional Arts Victoria has demonstrated a long-term commitment to the concept that art practice is critical to building capacity and self-determination in communities
