Engaging with the Arts has, for as long as I can remember been an integral part of my life. But my real passion is being able to use my creative skills to render artwork that captures the imagination of the viewer.

EDUCATION / WORK

As a university student at Victoria University (Melbourne) I undertook studies in Sociology & Fine Art, which gave me the chance to look at the use of visualization as a sociological tool. Whilst working as a nurse, among other things taught me the importance of detail & revealed to me the beneficial role the Arts has in the healthcare setting.

SOCIAL

I have not always lived in Ballarat; but since moving here and joining The Ballarat Society of Artists I have had the privilege of meeting and working with many talented & like-minded artists. Which has given me the opportunity to both experiment with new mediums while having my abilities extended & challenged by painting a wide variety of subjects.

ARTISTIC STYLE

However, my main subjects of choice are usually of a Botanical theme: I.e. fruit & flowers. But I am always willing to try other subjects as a way of acquiring new skills. As well as displaying my work in different ways such as in the form of printed cards & in corporate venues.
