What is on offer?

The City of Ballarat’s Backspace Gallery is now calling for Exhibition Proposals for the first half of 2018.

Situated in the heart of Ballarat’s CBD cultural precinct, Backspace Gallery is dedicated to supporting local & regional artists by exhibiting quality contemporary visual art, design & craft. Backspace Gallery offers a free venue, professional support & marketing, and no commission on sales for all exhibitors.

All you need to do is bring us exemplary work, staff Backspace Gallery when it’s open to the public (Thursday – Sunday, 12 – 4pm), handle all sales, and work with us in promoting your exhibition.

We accept solo & group shows, emerging & established artists, and are more than happy to entertain innovative installation proposals.

Not from the Central Highlands? Not a problem if your work & your practice has something to contribute to the capacities of the local creative community.

Application materials are available from & proposals are accepted through Monday, 3 July.
