Opportunity details As one of the first Creative City Expressions of Interest, we’re pleased to be reaching out to artists, creatives, graphic designers, school students and others to invite them to participate in the upcoming Winter Festival activities.
What is on offer?
The City of Ballarat will be playing host to an augmented reality art walk in July 2019, with up to 7 prominent locations across the city identified as locations for our ‘Hidden Stories’ artworks. The commissioned artworks will be encouraged to look at the stories beneath the surface of our city, and of the people that have lived and loved, and continue to make the tales of our town. The resulting artwalk will form a central part of Winter Festival 2019.
There are spaces for several artists to take part, and each artist will be encouraged to produce at least one artwork. The successful artists will be invited to participate in education and training, assisting them in learning how to animate their works through an augmented reality app.
In order to express your interest to participate, simply read through the EOI documentation and send through a selection of images of your works before close of business on the 22nd March 2019. You work will be considered by a panel of city of Ballarat representatives, and the successful artists will be invited to form part of the Winter Festival team
