Opportunity details Seeking Installation Proposals For The 2018 Ballarat Laneways Lumieres
What is on offer?
The Ballarat Winter Festival Laneways Lumieres are a light and sound spectacular activating and enlivening the public spaces in the Ballarat CBD precinct of Police Lane, Alfred Deakin Place, and beyond.
In 2018 we are seeking proposals for commissioned installations that can work in combination with others to create an extravagant immersive synchronised light-and-sound environment for a unique Ballarat non-holiday-themed Dub Step Christmas Lights experience.
We are interested in design ideas that look beyond the conventional projection approaches (though projections are certainly welcome) toward the experimental, experiential, challenging, beautiful, fun, durable – and relatively low-tech – and which can lend new dimensions to otherwise familiar CBD spaces.
This opportunity is open to individuals and teams with the appropriate demonstrable skills necessary to realise their vision.
