My love for creativity and the human spirit are combined well in my art therapy practice.
Whilst studying Diploma in Visual Arts: Fine Arts I majored in sculpture and the moment I handled clay I knew that I’d found my medium. I completed a Diploma In Visual Arts:Ceramics and set up a pottery studio creating individual one off ceramic sculptures. I appreciate clays sensual organic qualities, it’s malleability and the transformation of the firing process. My pieces are figurative and sculptural, they have been described as having an ancient, powerful and meditative presence.
It was a natural progress for me to then move into art therapy and study Masters in Art Therapy at Latrobe Uni. I have a particular passion for Clay Field Therapy and enjoy exploring all art and craft materials.
I now work in private practice: Ballarat Art Therapies and have just begun working in clay after a 2 year study break.
