Haddon Community Concert Band

THE HADDON COMMUNITY CONCERT BAND

The Haddon Community Concert Band was established in 1995.  Its members are a diverse group of people with a wide range of ages and musical talent.  They come together from Haddon and surrounding districts including Ballarat, with the aim of having fun playing music in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.  The group is lead by our Musical Director Trish Dulude.

Brass, woodwind and percussion instruments are played in the band.  The size of a band varies from an ensemble of about twelve up to twenty or so members.  The band plays an eclectic range of music from classical pieces to marches, musicals, contemporary and popular arrangements.

The band has a number of regular playouts each year including the Lions Club Veteran Car Rally, Haddon ANZAC Day Memorial service, Ballarat Bridge Mall Christmas entertainment, Smythesdale Carols By Candlelight, The Maryborough New Year’s Day Highland Festival and The Meadow Gardens Retirement Home concerts.

We always welcome new players.  Perhaps you used to play an instrument at school, or you have always wanted to play and are waiting for an opportunity.

Rehearsals are held at the Haddon Lions Club Hall on Tuesday nights from 7.15 pm until 9.00 pm.  Come along and enjoy the music and great company.  Some instruments are available on loan from the band.  Please come along if you are interested in joining our group.
