It’s an opportunity for music-lovers from welcoming communities to invite artists from Home and Abroad into their towns\, and a way of exploring this vast country in the spirit of hospitality and great fun. \nThe village of Woolbrook began as a settlement in 1836 over the land that was called Surveyor’s Creek Run\, which covered 40\,000 acres and included the sites of future Woolbrook and Walcha Road. \nAt present\, visitors head to Woolbrook for the annual Woolbrook Stampede held every Easter\, featuring horse sports such as campdrafting as well as other novelty events. Swimming\, fishing and picnicking along the banks of the Macdonald River are popular activities in the area. \nFor information on attractions and accommodation in the area please visit Walcha website. The Woolbrook Festival of Small Halls show will be supported by local act Tony Kennelly. \nTony Kennelly is a cattle farmer with a musical history dating back to the 80’s. A performer six nights a week and a concreter by day\, Tony eventually put down his guitar to focus on his business and raising his family in the beautiful northern tablelands of NSW. 30 years later\, Tony sat down to write a song for his son\, and another for his youngest daughter. The floodgates opened\, music and lyrics came pouring out and Tony’s debut album\, Hittin’ The Wall\, was born. \nFeaturing soulful folk singer Claire Anne Taylor and folk powerhouse pair The Small Glories—Cara Luft & JD Edwards. \nFor more information\, see Festival of Small Halls website. \nTickets available online or at the Walcha Visitor Information Centre. \n

SUMMARY:Jesus Christ Superstar
DESCRIPTION:Jesus Christ Superstar is a 1970 rock opera with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice. The musical started as a rock opera concept album before its Broadway debut in 1971. The musical is sung-through\, with no spoken dialogue. The story is loosely based on the Gospels’ accounts of the last week of Jesus‘s life\, beginning with the preparation for the arrival of Jesus and his disciples in Jerusalem and ending with the crucifixion. It depicts political and interpersonal struggles between Judas Iscariot and Jesus that are not present in the Bible. \n
