I lead the group through a different skill each week, which amounts to responding spontaneously to others around you who are responding spontaneously to thier own inner dialogue or yours. Sound amazing? It really is.
It’s like composing on the spot.
As one of the regulars says (copied from her post on Christine Tammer Music Facebook Page 22/4/15) …..
“It’s so exhilarating to work in Christine’s sensitive atmosphere. She lets you take the risk and is always supportive. Amazing to arrive tired out from the events of the day then leave full of energy!!” From a Tuesday night Vocal Improv regular.
Others have said.
“Did we just do that?”
“How did we know how to do that?”
“I’ve never done anything like this before and I love it. I don’t want to miss out on one night of this.”
She has composed music for feature length and short films. Her Debut Album with Hilde Knottenbelt, recorded in her home studio, was released in February 2014.Christine’s work with community theatre has brought the performers much joy as they have worked with and been recorded by her to enable them to speak thier stories within a safe environment. She has worked with such musicians as Eugene Ughetti (Speak Percussion) and Jethro Woodward (Composer Van Diemen’s Land, Hells Gate etc.), during her time as Sound designer and musician with Brunswick Women’s Theatre.
