The Kenneth Jack Perspective

FreeOpening evening Fri 2nd March, 5.30 – 7.30. Opening remarks David Jack. Exhibition of over 50 original artworks by Kenneth Jack AM, MBE, RWS (1924 – 2006) all signed by the artist. These works are in pristine condition and directly from the artist’s studio and date back to 1952. Includes oils, watercolours, pastels, lithographs, mezzotints, linocuts, etchings and a unique perspex engraving.
Kenneth Jack achieved remarkable recognition and success during his life, receiving numerous honours and awards. His work is represented in Collections in the UK and in every State and National Collection in Australia. They are also are held in the Queen’s Collection and in galleries and museums all over the world. Like many artists of his generation, Jack was deeply affected by the rugged beauty and harsh conditions of the Australian landscape. He found the landscape “awe inspiring” and was able to “express the powerful elements that impacted him, the space, the depth, earthiness, structure, colour and rhythms of the land.”
