‘SeekWell’ Ballarat Arts Alive Instagram Exhibition
June 1 - September 6free
Artists are invited to contribute to a new online exhibition via Ballarat Arts Alive. Here is the link: https://www.instagram.com/ballaratartsalive/ So, it’s Ballarat region’s artist’s responses to over a year of plague and lockdowns. The theme is new work concerning how we’re faring, how we’re feeling, what our creative responses are, and what we see ahead, in a 2D (including photography of 3D) or an appropriate video format (including music, if that’s what we can post on Instagram – we haven’t done that before, so we’ll see if we can do that…) – Exhibition to be displayed via BAA’s Instagram account.
2D – Make ‘em square if you can – that helps (the higher the resolution the better – no fuzzy and/or low res pics – it really doesn’t do your work justice) – please don’t take a bad photo of something you’ve done and expect us to try and fix it up – it’s 2021, it’s your work – presentation is a thing! You should be able to do it yourself! If you need help, just ask a friend or enquuire through us. Include all your info about your work: Name, Media, Dimensions (if appropriate), Artist’s statement if you like, your contact details if the work is for sale, or say NFS if it’s not (just to make it clear to viewers) – but you handle any sales directly – hence the contact details – it’s all up to you. PLEASE make sure you only include the contact details you wish to be posted on Instagram in your email! Send any entries (unlimited in number) to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll post them on our Instagram account with a link to it on our BAA Facebook page. (Include links to your own social media if you like to provide those details)
To put a time limit on it, let’s say the end of August or so (but it can be quite flexible)? We’ll post ‘em as we get ‘em. Come on, you can do it! Your copyright stays with you, obviously, and by entering you just give us permission to display it in the exhibition and for promotional purposes for the exhibition only (which might include The Courier, affiliated organisations, other arts-based websites like Artshub and such – it’s all simply to promote your work). We don’t have a way of stopping anyone from taking a screen grab on Facebook and such though. You all know how that works. Any enquiries to Sparkie at: email@example.com
