Exhibition of Richard Spare’s original hand coloured drypoint etchings featuring a colourful collection of artworks with a floral theme. Also includes selected original drypoints featuring nautical scenes. All works are signed by the artist. Richard Spare (b.1951) is a master printmaker with a lifetime committed to his chosen medium. The rich velvet lines in the drypoint etchings are the artist’s hallmark. He developed this technique of combining hand watercolour on the drypoint print and the overall effect is a calming harmony. Richard Spare’s work appears in many collections worldwide and he is a frequent exhibitor at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, London where he has exhibited by invitation for 23 years.
