Relief Carving (Koi Fish or Gum Leaves)

A day long class where students get a feel for woodcarving and hand carve their own wooden panel from a choice of designs (koi fish or gum leaves).

Olivia has always loved working with timber.  Armed with a specialist degree from Australia’s National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in prop making with wood, leather, foam-sculpting, model-making and puppet making, Olivia has worked for theatres in London and Sydney.

After relocating back to Australia she settled in Gippsland and has established a professional workshop in woodcarving, handmade rocking horses and rocking horse restoration.

Olivia has travelled to the USA to continue learning from the very best instructors and hone her craft, enabling her to share her skills with others.
