Term One Mosaic Workshop – Make your own Mosaic Terracotta Pot Garden Wall Hanger

Wednesday Evening 7-9pm 4th – 25th March (4 weeks)

This terms workshop is to create a Mosaic Terracotta Pot Garden Wall Hanger, which will combine a range of tesserae (mosaic tiles) including pottery shards, glass tiles, pebbles, and pretty much anything else you may like to include. Feel free to bring along anything special you want to incorporate.

You will learn how to cut a terracotta pot in half, how to seal your backing board, and the appropriate materials required for an outdoor/weatherproof mosaic. We will also learn about design principles while you develop your own unique garden art.

The course will run over four weeks on the following schedule:

Week One: Cut terracotta pot. Develop design, transfer design to mounting board and begin arranging tesserae.

Week Two: Begin adhering design.

Week Three: Finish adhering design.

Week Four: Grout finished mosaic.

Each class will run for two hours, and all materials will be provided.

The cost is $185.00 for adults and includes all materials, and coffee and tea.
