 Beating About The Bush takes a new and unexpected look at the artists of the Australian Impressionist era. In this talk cultural historian Dr Juliette Peers takes you on a deep dive into the Heidelberg School, discovering fresh images from the period and revealing how women artists have been written out of the history books.

Juliette Peers is a Ballarat-based historian, curator and lecturer whose interests span classical art history, popular culture, feminism and politics. She curated the 1992–93 touring exhibition Completing the Picture: Women Artists and the Heidelberg Era.
