As darkness settles in for a long Winter night, one of the strangest forests of all comes to life in the heart of Ballarat’s CBD Arts Precinct with Fantasy Forest Illuminati in Alfred Deakin Place!

Illuminated, inflatable & incredible, Fantasy Forest Illuminati is an alien vegetative labyrinth that invites you to explore mysterious pathways & a strange nighttime world.

Lead Artist Timothy Shepheard & the crack team of artists Meka Audet, Zlatko Balazic, Eliza Jane Gilchrist & Stacey Wellman – who together have, if not superpowers, then certainly visionary fabrication & technical skills beyond the ken of mere mortals – have imagined & animated a dreamscape that challenges the cold & dark of Ballarat’s winter.

Commissioned by the City of Ballarat Backspace Gallery in association with the 2017 Ballarat Winter Festival, Fantasy Forest Illuminati is FREE for your pleasure in Alfred Deakin Place from dusk to dawn, 7 – 30 July.
