Family History Writing: A workshop with Josiane Behmoiras
7 November, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
You have done your research – now learn how to assemble your information into a vibrant story. Explore your creativity, acquire writing skills and find new connections for your family and future generations. Bring family photos, old and new, to learn ways of using them in your story.
JOSIANE BEHMOIRAS is a Melbourne based author, her essays and short fiction have been published in various literary publications and her memoir ‘Dora B: a memoir of my mother’ was shortlisted for the NSW Premier Awards. Josiane has taught creative writing at various community settings and at the University of Melbourne, where she was awarded a creative writing PhD.
Please note: This workshop will explore ways to organise your research material into a narrative, rather than the process of researching your family history.
