Chatting about personal archives
23/10/2013 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
FreeAre you thinking about how to store and manage your personal records?
Do you blog, use social media, have boxes or albums of photos, save old letters, or have lots of electronic files?
Can you find what you need when you need? Do you think you need to cull but do not know where to start?
Come along to Rhizome Digital’s FREE information evening!
Leisa Gibbons is a professional archivist and librarian who has researched social media and personal recordkeeping.
The personal archives information sessions have been developed to provide current information to anyone who wants to learn about managing their own records.
There are 5 sessions in the personal archives series with the first theme being about organising collections and computers.
Information sessions are not structured in a formal way, rather each session is structured around a theme and participants help to drive the content discussed. It is an opportunity to pick the brains of a professional archivist. After each session there is opportunity to stay for a cup of tea and slice of cake.
