The 18th annual Ballarat Choral Festival is on again this year on the last Sunday of this month, 26th May, to be held at St Andrews Uniting Church in Sturt Street, starting at 1.30pm. It’s free and all interested members of the public are welcome to attend. Nine choirs in all will be contributing to the programme: St Collumba’s P.S., St Patrick’s Cathedral Choir, Clarendon Junior Choir, St Cecilia Singers, Grammar Year 3 Choir, Sing Australia Ballarat and Ballarat North, Las Estrellis Loretto Choir, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Ballarat Golden Voices. The Choral Festival will conclude with a combined choirs grand finale of nearly 300 voices accompanied by St Andrews magnificent pipe organ.
