The ethos behind Art Sparks events is to weave together carefully curated events showcasing feature artists and venues, with a casual and inviting setting for artists to meet, share and discuss their practices, inspirations and challenges. The events seek to foster and strengthen individual artists within the context of a dynamic arts community, whilst allowing the formation of important connections between artists and encouraging greater communication and collaboration between arts organisations, institutions, etc.

Art Sparks events are an opportunity for information and skills exchange, with the aim to spark ideas, excitement, connections, action and development, helping to promote excellence and exploration in arts practice in the region. They are also an environment where important BAA information may be shared and provide an opportunity to visit and investigate various kinds of spaces. There is a hope to continue working in partnerships and building new ones, looking at innovation and evolution along with the needs and wants of the arts community these events serve.
