Amy Tsilemanis is a cross-artform practitioner and producer, working across the fields of theatre, radio, installation, writing, multimedia, research and curation, based in Ballarat, Australia. She runs Minerva’s Books & Ideas and produces the bookish podcast Gather.
Amy has recently completed her PhD at FedUni working across the Collaborative Research Centre in Australian History (CRCAH) and the Arts Academy. This research is based on her practice as curator at the Ballaarat Mechanics’ Institute 2016-2019, and is titled “Creative Activation of the Past: Mechanics’ Institutes, GLAM, Heritage and Creativity in the Twenty-first century.”
Projects Amy has headed include include Tinderbox Radio, Weave Length Productions, Box Space Gallery, Art Sparks with Ballarat Arts Alive, and various content for Ballarat Heritage Weekend including digital walking tour Ballarat Revealed. http://ballaratrevealed.com/
She has worked with ABC Open, MADE, Art Gallery of Ballarat, and Ballarat’s Historic Urban Landscape web portal, and has produced content for Arts Atlas.
